Aldrich flagged the Police Chief's characterization of the system as a "force multiplier" and criticized the absence of publicly available policies or a transparency portal and the potential for expanded surveillance or information sharing with other jurisdictions and federal agencies. He said he was unaware the cameras had been discussed or voted on until after installation and asked the Board to choose not to retain the cameras at the end of the trial period.
