Superintendent and principals report summer work, solar benefit and 70% registration

Superintendent Dave Harper told the board that summer improvement, maintenance and cleaning prepared buildings for students and that "the district should start to see the benefit of solar power." He also announced the first open house will be Aug. 18, 2026 at 6 p.m.
High School Principal Heather Rosewall reported progress on facility maintenance and said student schedules and professional-development schedules have been distributed to staff. Elementary Principal Seth Milledge said teachers were preparing classrooms, Phase #3 of the playground project is progressing, summer school finishes next week, and "70% of students have registered" through PowerSchool; he also noted the day care is increasing enrollment for the coming year.
