Senior Planner David Jellen told commissioners that City Code currently "does not currently address the use of trailers on city-owned property," and that the proposed amendment would add regulations to Chapters 19.02 and 19.05 so that temporary office trailers have clear standards when located on city-owned parcels.
Commissioners sought clarification about lavatory and sewer arrangements for the cemetery trailer and other operational details; staff answered questions and described the amendment as creating the regulatory framework. Commissioner Virginia Rae Mann moved to forward a recommendation for approval, Commissioner Chris Roman seconded, and the motion passed 6–0 with one member absent.
