Summary
At its Aug. 4 voting session the Board approved the July 28 minutes and a packet of resolutions including a proclamation, the Millersport annexation, appropriations for the 911 Wireless Fund, EMA grant transfers, Route 33 CRA assignment agreements, engineer appropriations, JFS service agreements and payment of bills; most votes were unanimous.
The Fairfield County Board of Commissioners approved meeting minutes and 20+ resolutions during its Aug. 4 voting session. On the motion of Commissioner Jeff Fix and the second of Commissioner David Levacy, the Board took unanimous roll-call votes on a packet of agenda items covering proclamations, annexation, appropriations and several departmental requests.
Notable resolutions approved include: - 2026-08.04.a: Proclamation recognizing the Canal Winchester Chamber of Commerce's 70th anniversary (adopted unanimously). - 2026-08.04.b: Expedited Type II annexation of roughly 46.649 acres from Walnut Township to the Village of Millersport (approved unanimously). - 2026-08.04.c: Appropriation action for the 911 Wireless Fund #2683 (approved). - 2026-08.04.f/2026-08.04.g/2026-08.04.h: Economic & Workforce Development resolutions authorizing a repayment and execution of partial assignment/assumption agreements related to the Fairfield County Route 33 CRA (approved). - 2026-08.04.i/2026-08.04.j: EMA fund-to-fund transfer and SHSP25 grant advance requests (approved). - Multiple Engineer, Sheriff and JFS appropriations and service agreements were also approved; the Board authorized payment of invoices requiring the Board’s approval.
