Town Administrator Gregory Faust presented revisions to the town's procurement and personnel policies. Faust said the procurement policy had been updated based on input from Selectboard member Michelle Perlee and will be returned for a third reading and potential adoption at the next meeting. No additional edits were suggested at this session.
Faust also presented a first reading of an updated personnel policy that incorporates several statutory-required sections and new language clarifying that eligible employees may receive either overtime pay or compensatory (comp) time when allowable. Joel Bouvier asked for clarification about how comp time would be calculated; Faust explained the language is intended to clarify options and Michelle Perlee said she would meet with Faust to review specific phrasing. Drug and alcohol testing procedures are included in the draft and were noted as appropriate under current statute.
Staff were asked to circulate the drafts to employees for review before the next reading so the board can consider adoption after formal review and any additional edits.
