Town updates: Bristol West water work advancing; Holley Hall and library remediation near completion

Town Administrator Greg Faust provided a series of infrastructure and facility updates. He said Bristol West water-line construction has progressed from Elm Street to Taylor Street and that the Bristol East water-line project has placed second on the state's lead service line list, potentially qualifying it for 50% state funding forgiveness. Faust said combining the West and East projects could yield better contractor quotes but would require State approval because the town is currently under-bonded.

Faust also reported that Holley Hall is anticipated to be ready for re-occupation by the end of August. At the Library, asbestos remediation is complete and PCB work is near completion; Faust said the town secured an additional $300,000+ in grant funds to finish those renovation components. He provided a general update on current financial information and noted a Parks report from the Conservation Commission is expected at a future meeting.

The administration will continue work on funding strategy and coordination with state agencies if the town pursues combining water-line projects to capture potential lead‑service forgiveness and construction economies.
