South Blooming Grove to hold village election Oct. 22 after referendum passes

The Village of South Blooming Grove will hold its next village election on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Village Hall, 811 Route 208 in Monroe, the Board confirmed June 24. Deputy Clerk Yitzchok Ekstein reported that a June 23 referendum asking whether to move the election date from the third Tuesday in March to the fourth Wednesday in October passed with a majority in favor.
Deputy Mayor Abraham M. Weiss moved to formally schedule the election to reflect the referendum outcome; Trustee Zalmon Rosner seconded the motion and “all present voted in favor,” the minutes state. The resolution records the date, hours and location for the 2025 village election and was carried unanimously by the Board.
