The Village of South Blooming Grove Board on Aug. 4 approved a special use permit for 88 Peddler Hill Road, allowing the site to be used for parking buses. Joel Stern, confidential assistant to the mayor, told the board the site has no structure and is used to park buses so operators can "come and go quickly." He said the applicant "is asking for special use permits for parking."
Stern said the applicant must file a drainage plan to ensure ‘‘no oil is leaking’’ onto neighboring properties and urged the board to waive a separate village public hearing after the Building Department waived its own. The board adopted Resolution No. 055 (motion by Trustee Yitzchok Feldman; seconded by Trustee Zalmon Rosner) and voted 3-0 in favor; Mayor George Kalaj and Trustee Asher Guttman were absent. The resolution authorizes the special use permit as presented to the board.
