Matt Warren gave a brief facilities update highlighting roofing projects at Busby and Springdale, HVAC replacements at multiple schools and asphalt and painting work.
"HVAC units replaced at multiple schools, Springdale, Busby, Newbridge, BC Airport," Warren said, listing summer maintenance highlights. Board members raised concerns that concrete floors at some sites left teachers and students uncomfortable; Miss Woodman urged the district to provide anti-fatigue mats under rugs and to not wait for staff to request them.
Administration said they are meeting with vendors about flooring options and will bring recommendations. Board members asked for proactive mitigation rather than reactive requests from staff.
