Council confirms two reappointments to Prosper Portland board, 12-0

Councilor Knoell, who reviewed the Committee of the Whole discussion, said she had asked questions about whether Prosper would publicly consider contributing to an $8.5 million settlement tied to Lower Albina displacement and was satisfied the matter would be placed on a Prosper agenda for consideration. "I'll be comfortable voting yes on both appointees today," Knoell said.
Councilor Kanal moved to accept the report; the motion was seconded by Vice President Clark. Clerk Keelan Malane called the roll. The clerk recorded 12 ayes and the appointments were confirmed. No no votes or abstentions were recorded in the council minutes for this item.
The confirmation was procedural; council did not take other action on Prosper Portland governance during the meeting. The council moved promptly afterward to the longer agenda item concerning a proposed term sheet for Moda Center negotiations.
