Library Director (S2) said the library had 289 visitors on one Sunday and 311 the previous Saturday, describing a mix of young families, students and professionals using the space. "We had 289 people on Sunday," S2 said, noting that better staffing on Sundays opens potential programming in the children's area.
Separately, the foundation (reported by S5) told the board it had raised more than $35,000 since July, including about $6,000 from an annual appeal and has helped fund the library coffee bar and a New York Times digital subscription for patrons.
