At its Aug. 6 meeting the Petoskey City Council adopted the consent agenda, which included minutes, administrative transactions and authorization for the city manager to submit a ballot to the Michigan Municipal League for workers' compensation fund trustees. Councilmember Wilmot moved the consent agenda and the motion passed on a 5-0 roll call.
Later in the meeting council confirmed two appointments. David Schuman was appointed to the Board of Review and Albert Moss was reappointed to the Planning Commission for a three-year term ending August 2029; both motions passed 5-0. The city manager noted that the Michigan Municipal League convention is Oct. 7–9 in Traverse City and asked the council to identify the city's voting representative and alternate by Sept. 7.
