Board member Chuck said the town received confirmation of a $35,000 grant to fund a new generator and related electrical work at a town building tied to an HCH project. "We received word this week that we, the mansion foundation out of New York ordered this for town project, $35,000, install a new generator," Chuck told the board.
Chuck described planned work: moving an LP gas tank to meet code, putting underground electric service in place, removing overhead wires along Townhouse Road, and connecting gas and electric to the main building. He said the town will solicit multiple bids for the generator and intends to use local contractors for excavation and electrical work where practical. The board will vote on contractor selection in a future meeting once bids are in hand.
