"To be more transparent, I would like the difference to be in percentages so that I understand..." Mares said. She told trustees that, given recent audit attention, parents want clearer presentations so they can follow financial decisions and regain trust.
Trustees thanked Mares for the comment; staff and trustees noted the district is preparing more interactive project and finance displays for public access. Trustee responses emphasized the board’s responsibility for financial oversight and promised staff would work to present percentage changes and clearer function‑by‑function explanations in future materials.
