Commission approves ballfield use, discusses lighting and solar-panel issues; orders benches for Katy Allen Lake

Tori Kafer of Life Church requested use of the Vernon County Fairgrounds ballfields on Sunday, June 28 for kickball games; Presiding Commissioner Joe Wilson called Chris Crews to check field availability and later notified Kafer that permission was granted.
Commissioners also addressed lighting problems at the ballfields and rodeo arena and asked Chris Foster with CDL to inspect those issues and a separate solar-panel matter at the sheriff's office and jail. Commissioner Cindy Thompson contacted Renda Armstrong at DSWA about an IRS reimbursement question related to those solar panels. Separately, Commissioner Wilson ordered two benches from Show Me Country Metals for the Katy Allen Lake walking trail and the commission discussed additional tornado-related repairs to the lake area.
