Police describe ebike safety campaign and school‑zone saturation patrols

"He's been going out, pretty regularly, and he'll ride right up to these kids..." Alvin said, noting the tactic helps officers engage directly with unsafe riders.
Council members said ebike regulation and proposed state legislation are active concerns; Alvin said the issue is statewide and likely to be addressed in forthcoming legislation, and she expects Monte Sereno will continue local education and enforcement while tracking any state changes.
