The Town Board approved March 18 a $19,366.54 quote from Ampersand Electric Inc. for installation of EV charging equipment, with the minutes noting the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) grant will cover the majority of the cost and the town’s share is about $4,366.54. Councilperson JP O’Neil moved the motion and it carried unanimously.
Board members discussed the slight increase (about $1,000) over an earlier estimate but approved moving forward so grant funding can be applied to the project. The motion authorizes procurement to begin with a town contribution recorded in the minutes.
