Residents press Bronxville board to oppose stadium lighting plan near homes

Other residents described measurement and valuation concerns: one speaker said a proposed pole could be as close as 35 feet from a home and another speaker warned that temporary lights already produce sleep‑disrupting glow in upper‑floor bedrooms. Speakers asked whether the village would require SEQR/SEQR‑like environmental review and urged the board to press the school district for a transparent, inclusive process. Mayor (S1) said the village has stepped back to respect the school’s process but that village officials are meeting with county and town leaders to identify alternative lit fields and to clarify the village’s appropriate role.
