The Town Board authorized several highway-related actions on April 15, including purchasing a hydrovac for $1,950, authorizing the online auction of a 2015 International plow truck, and approving donation of salvageable fiberglass insulation from the highway garage once spray-foam insulation work begins.
Deputy Supervisor Karl Law moved the purchase of a hydrovac, which was seconded and approved by roll-call vote (Thurston, Law, Whitelaw AYE; Swinyer recused; O'Neil excused). The board also adopted Resolution #35 to list the 2015 International plow truck with Auctions International; proceeds will go into the Highway Department equipment fund. Separately, Resolution #37 approved giving undamaged fiberglass insulation from the garage to St. Armand residents on a first-come, first-served basis as part of the energy-efficiency upgrades.
Town staff reported the highway garage spray-foam insulation work is scheduled to start April 20; upgrades are part of an energy-efficiency program and relate to ongoing capital planning.
