Bronxville wins county and federal help for drainage projects; FEMA, county and congressman cited

Village officials reported significant funding progress on local drainage projects at the Feb. 9 meeting. The Village Administrator told trustees that the board accepted an intermunicipal agreement (IMA) with Westchester County delivering just under $3,000,000 toward the Crawford Drainage Improvement projects, and that Rep. George Latimer's office had approved an additional $1,200,000 toward the same effort.
Officials also said FEMA has committed up to $2,000,000 connected to ongoing efforts to address flooding on Paxton Avenue following the Sept. 29, 2023 event. The administrator cautioned that work near the Bronx River requires complex approvals and said the village will coordinate with county officials and state partners as funding and design work advance.
