Commissioners raised privacy and data questions, asking whether cameras could capture patient information or feed training data. Hall and public-safety staff said the deployed units would be exterior-facing only and described access controls and training benefits: "It's my understanding it's an enclosed system, and the cameras are all exterior outward facing," Hall said. Officials said initial access would be limited to Hall and lieutenants for driver-behavior review, and that the system's expected useful life is five years. The motion to authorize the purchase passed 5-0.
