Tharnoff said the plan remains mostly unchanged and that the applicant received the town board's solid‑waste permit in May 2026; she described the project elements, including a mechanical room and a 65,000‑gallon fire‑suppression storage tank that has been refined during detailed design.
Planning staff noted the town board had completed a Type I review and adopted a finding statement; the PB may either rely on that finding statement or adopt its own after comparison. Staff advised the board that the application requires a public hearing and a GML 239 referral to the county; the board scheduled a public hearing for Aug. 20, 2026 and directed staff to send mailings to abutters and interested parties.
