Village accountant Michelle Escalillo told the board the village is eight months into the fiscal year and that, "it's about 68,000 right now," in anticipated snow‑removal expenses that staff proposes to cover from fund balance.
Escalillo reviewed the budget timeline and the financial statements through Jan. 31 and said most fund lines remain on track, but the snow bills already received will require transfers to avoid shortfalls. A trustee moved and the board approved Resolution O3 (fiscal year 24–25 transfers) and Resolution O4 (fiscal year 25–26 transfers), both authorizing the village accountant to execute the transfers immediately. The board will receive quarterly projections at the Feb. 25 meeting and consider how to prioritize spring projects if savings emerge.
