The village board at its workshop approved and authorized submission of a revised letter to the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation asking that the Hudson Highlands Bureau of Trails project be subject to a supplemental environmental impact statement. The board said it will act as an involved agency and intends to make its own findings.
“This version incorporates feedback from our discussion last week, specifically requesting a supplemental environmental impact statement,” the Chair said during the motion to approve. The motion was seconded and carried by recorded aye votes in the meeting.
Board members said the change reflects issues raised in prior discussions and that the village’s position will be transmitted to the state with the requested supplemental review. No specific schedule for submission was set in the workshop packet; staff indicated the packet version reflects feedback from last week’s discussion and will be signed and submitted as approved.
