Economic development director previews county tours, Opportunity Zoning timeline and office move

Economic Development Director Tina Cochran briefed the commissioners on multiple items at the June 3 meeting, including an Evergy-sponsored class, a letter from Compass Health, and a scheduled county tour next week by Center On Rural Innovation representatives. Cochran listed planned stops for the tour: Cottey College, Nevada Tech Center, Agzaga, 3M, and Crowder College, and noted Opportunity Zoning 2.0 selections will be made in July.
Cochran also said the Build Vernon County Missouri board of directors plans a meeting in September at Crowder College, highlighted women27s programs sponsored by New Growth, and reported she has fully moved into her new office at 125 West Cherry.
