Brenham ISD moves $200,000 into safety-and-security line item; finance director reports Medicaid settlement

Daryl Sinclair presented the district’s monthly financial reports and told trustees the district had received a settlement payment of about $236,000 related to Medicaid reimbursements. Sinclair also recommended a budget amendment to move $200,000 from function 11 into function 52 (safety and security) to cover urgent items such as window film, outdoor replacements, warning-system equipment, radio batteries and FCC-license updates that were not anticipated in earlier budgeting.
"So I am proposing that we move $200,000 from function 11 to function 52 to get us through the rest of the fiscal year in our safety and security function," Sinclair told the board. Trustee Kelvin Raven moved to approve the amendment, Sean Koontz seconded and the motion carried.
