The board reviewed and approved multiple community events to support local businesses and nonprofit programming. Erin Helley, a contractor to the Hudson Valley program, described the Hudson Valley Welcome as a community fair (planned 06/29/2025 with rain date 06/30/2025) that would use Cousins Avenue to Drew Avenue and run roughly 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Helley said vendor and sponsorship revenue will go to the Connect after‑school program and that the organizers planned food trucks, a band and community booths.
Trustees approved the event subject to receiving the required insurance certificate and an application wording change. Helley said, "We are gonna charge for profit businesses... and that money, again, will go to the Connect after school program." The board also approved a blanket permit for Chamber of Commerce car‑cruise Saturdays spanning May–October (listed dates and rain dates) pending proof of insurance. Other smaller fundraisers and the Fort Montgomery Elementary field day on June 5 were also approved with standard insurance conditions.
Officials said approvals are contingent on standard event insurance and logistics; organizers were asked to supply updated documentation to the clerk before final permits are issued.
