Board: $1.85 million available in current opioid NOFA; $6.38 million obligated overall

The presenter reported $6,379,095.59 obligated overall and said the NOFA period currently has $1,854,560.87 available to allocate; the presenter said funds remaining at the end of fiscal year 2026 will return to the central pool.
"Right now, for the opioid abatement, funding, we have obligated $6,379,095.59," a staff presenter said during the budget review. The presenter also said $829,000 of the obligated funds were for a two-year core emergency management team and should not be counted against the current NOFA allocation. Staff framed the available NOFA funds for the board's consideration in upcoming award decisions.
