Public Works installs new fire hydrants; mayor announces State of Town, park tour and community events

Public Works Director Cory Hobbs reported that department crews recently finished installing new fire hydrants on West CR 108 and West First Street by Spinners Pizza. The update was given during the mayor and council reports section of the meeting.
Mayor John Beasley told the council he will deliver his State of Town address at the next meeting on March 5, 2026, and reminded the public of a Westside Regional Park tour scheduled for Monday, Feb. 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Councilman Jared Wollitz and Councilman Joe Michaels made routine community reminders about Hilliard High School athletic events and Parks & Recreation registration. Food Truck Friday was announced for Feb. 27, 2026.
