Planning staff says build‑back expirations will be brought to council; miniature‑golf item moved to September

At the end of the Aug. 11 meeting, Planning Director Paula McMichael reported that the city will bring forward resolutions and ordinances that expire at year‑end for City Council consideration and that the miniature‑golf agenda item (Island Cow applicant) is being targeted to appear before the planning commission on Sept. 8 rather than Aug. 25.
Several commissioners raised urgency about the December 15 build‑back expiration for particular properties and asked whether a split or property‑level extension might be pursued. McMichael said there is a code process by which a property owner can apply to city council to request reestablishment of a nonconforming use and that staff will prepare the expiring items for council consideration.
The planning commission closed the meeting at 10:35 a.m.
