The board agreed to a plan to address the Conservation District’s relocation and furniture needs. The district will order new desks, the county will retain ownership of the desks, and the board approved a $1,800 rebate applied to next year’s rent to offset the purchase cost — contingent on signing a formal lease that clarifies responsibility for county equipment.
A Conservation District representative explained the plan and the board agreed on the contingency: "So from what I understand is then the desk purchases are contingent on a lease being accepted that that whomever is in that space is taking care of county equipment." The board asked staff to prepare a boilerplate lease and confirmed the desks will remain county property and will be reimbursed through next year’s rent.
