The Town of Southeast voted Aug. 6 to amend the 2026 fee schedule to add a food-truck fire-safety inspection line. Under the adopted resolution there is no fee if the vehicle is brought to the building department for inspection; a $50 fee applies if the inspector must go to an alternate location.
A council member said the town should simplify multiple permits and fire fees in the future, but supported the current resolution as an interim measure. The motion to adopt the amendment to the fee schedule was seconded and carried by voice vote.
