Study session reviews design for new street to gateway site, 50% design expected this fall

Staff presented a two-part infrastructure update for the study session, saying the project is roughly at 50% design and the city hopes to bid this fall. "One part is connecting what is currently the rotary on West Valley View and, providing a new access road that would, be a street connection between the TID property and the gateway property," Staff member (voice 5) said, describing the new primary access to the gateway site.
Staff also described reconstruction of Gangnamis Drive — rebuilding the street, replacing an undersized waterline and addressing stormwater — and said an OHCS extension from HUD relieved some time pressure on the grant. Staff asked councillors for feedback on design direction and said they will return with additional analysis and refined drawings.
