Board members discussed a special-event liquor-license request for JC's parking-lot event on Oct. 4, and officials said the village can attach conditions governing hours, supervised areas, and the controlled space required for sales and consumption. "So you can tailor it for yourself... This is from 12 to 4 on Saturday, or you can do it for up to 3 consecutive days," the attorney said while explaining the code's flexibility.
Staff asked the event organizer to complete the special-event application and to specify how the event would control the space for sales and consumption. The board emphasized that if the control plan is not robust (for example, lacking clearly defined entrances and supervision), it could impose conditions or require additional controls before issuing the license.
