The superintendent reported progress on referendum-funded construction and site work, saying that crews cut 116th Street for a water-main hookup scheduled to be tied in the following day and that roofing work and kitchen equipment deliveries are nearing completion. "If you came up, 116th Street on your way, you'll notice that the street got cut today. Hookup is tomorrow or scheduled for tomorrow," he said as he reviewed the schedule.
He noted a small remaining risk: custom kitchen pieces en route from Mexico that could be delayed in customs. The superintendent said the district is monitoring those shipments and will provide a construction tour and an update from the project manager at the next meeting.
