Roland Liao, area manager with Municipal Operations and Consulting, presented the October 2024 municipal operations report, including water and wastewater metrics. He said the system had 905 water connections (16 vacant), 1,849 sewer connections, well production of 7.9 million gallons and billed gallons of 7.471 million (about 95% accountability). Liao reported the wastewater treatment plant sampling and data showed the plant was operating at about 39% capacity for the reporting period.
Liao noted total flow for the month was 7,926,000 gallons and highlighted a rainfall total of 2.5 inches; he said recent manhole raising work helped reduce runoff impacts during storms. He asked the council to accept the operations report and answered clarifying questions about e.coli lab sampling and flow figures. After discussion, the council moved to approve the October operations report.
