Arcola engineer says water-plant expansion and orthophosphate plan are with TCEQ; LCR filing accepted

City engineer Lawrence Turner reported that plans for the Arcola water-plant expansion and orthophosphate addition have been submitted to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, with orthophosphate hookup expected to be approved in about 30 days and the larger plant permit under TCEQ review for up to 90 days.
MOC area manager Roland Liao presented August operational data: approximately 910 service connections, 1,858 server connections, pumped volumes and a system accountability figure of about 97 percent. Liao also said the city filed the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) revision and that it "has been sent, filed, and accepted by TCEQ," noting the city is ahead of required schedules for addressing lead-service lines.
