City corrects TIF debt certification to include LMI portion

City administrator told council that the TIF certification submitted before Dec. 1 omitted the LMI portion; council approved Resolution 2025-94 to rescind the prior certification and include the LMI portion.
City administrator (speaker 3) told the council that TIF (Tax Increment Financing) certification documents had been submitted to the county before the Dec. 1 deadline but that the initial submittal inadvertently omitted the LMI (low- and moderate-income) portion. "I submitted the TIF, certification documents before the due date of December 1. In talking to the county auditor, we realized that I had inadvertently excluded the LMI portion. So this, corrects that and includes the LMI portion, that was not on the original, resolution," the administrator said.
Council moved to approve Resolution 2025-94 to rescind Resolution 2025-86 and correct the certification; the resolution was approved on a roll-call vote to ensure the county receives a corrected certification.
