The Maryville Board of Education adopted the 2027–28 school calendar after reviewing parent survey feedback on two options. Dr. Winstead said the adopted calendar includes a full week of Thanksgiving as a break, eliminates intervention and enrichment days, and adds a staff development day on the Monday following spring break.
The calendar maintains 176 student instructional days and uses four stockpiled days to provide additional professional development opportunities for staff. Candy Morgan moved approval, Bart Stinnett seconded, and the board approved the calendar unanimously.
