The board approved two out-of-series fiscal-year 2026 transfers presented by Director of Finance Kim Allen: $60,668 to cover legal fees, retirement benefit payments, salary-related payouts, fuel, equipment maintenance and overtime; and $112,092 to cover salary increases, resignation payouts, increased advertising and higher solid-waste disposal costs. Together the transfers total $172,760.
On the first transfer, Allen explained a portion covered temporary rehousing when residences were affected by water-main or sewage incidents, saying, "By state law, we are required if there is a water main break or some other damage to a residence, we are required to rehouse them." Board members asked for brief clarifications and then voted to approve both transfers.
