Commission discusses offering City Hall display space and calls for artists

"I've been moving things in and out... right now, there's a Kwanzaa display in there, and I'm wondering if we should use that display case to offer monthly or bimonthly to visual artists in our city, to hang to present their art," Keisha said. Members discussed outreach channels and asked staff to research possible venues including the senior center and the new recreation center.
Commissioners agreed to begin brainstorming and to include further planning on the January agenda so a projects subcommittee can draft a proposal on how to select artists, frequency of rotations and any support needed for installations.
