Committee to re-inspect riverbank and dog-walking area after resident concerns
Summary
A constituent raised concerns about junk on the riverbank and a so-called 'dog park.' Land-use staff said the area is a public park used by dog walkers (not an official dog park) and will re-inspect the riverbank for discharge or hazards.

The Chair relayed constituent concerns about junk on a riverbank area near one of the properties and asked land-use staff to re-check the site for any discharge or hazards. "She's concerned with... junk on the riverbank," the Chair said, and asked Tom and Jim to perform another inspection.
A committee member clarified the area is not an official dog park but rather a park where people walk their dogs; staff noted dog-waste bag stations were installed by Public Works to reduce waste. Land-use staff agreed to inspect the riverbank area again and to report back at the next meeting.
