A health department official described the department’s response to an odor complaint tied to the Middlefield properties. "Dennis went out yesterday afternoon, when we got the complaint, and he did say he observed little to no smell," the health official said, and added that the complainant later indicated satisfaction with the department's response.
The health official said they will check with Kevin, who handled communications with the complainant, to confirm what "satisfied" meant in that exchange and will report back. The committee asked staff to document the follow-up so council members who have been contacted by constituents can be informed.
