Board hears construction change-orders for Westmore and approves property-auction plans

Board heard a $1,650.25 change order for Westmore Elementary and that total change orders for the Anderson Shaw construction portion now total $148,867.61 (3.83%). The board also approved auctioning a storage container via Croppies Real Estate and heard a separate update that Lake Minetare property is tentatively set for an early–mid September auction.
The board was updated on Westmore Elementary’s summer work, where staff reported change order No. 8 — removal of an existing roof drain — for $1,650.25. Staff said the cumulative change orders for Anderson Shaw construction total $148,867.61, representing 3.83% of the contract portion under discussion.
On property disposal, staff recommended using Croppies Real Estate and Auctioneers to sell a storage container located at Lake Minetaire; the auction was described as currently live and set to close on Tuesday, August 18 if approved. "The auction is currently live at this time. The auction will be closing on Tuesday, August 18," staff said when describing the timeline. The board approved placing the container on the Croppies auction and was also told the district’s larger Lake Minetare property listing is tentatively scheduled to close early–mid September, with a typical two-week auction window and a preview date for prospective buyers. The board said final approval of any sale price will return to the board after an auction close.
