Public works staff updated the board on ongoing utility projects that tie into lead service‑line replacements and wastewater improvements. Staff said pump station 4 work is being tied into wastewater treatment upgrades and Bailey Avenue main replacements will proceed as part of coordinated lead remediation efforts.
The department reported it received a grant to assist with loan payback on the Emerson Street project and plans to purchase specialized lead excavation equipment with additional state funding. The board congratulated staff member Jason Bridal, identified in the meeting as the 2026 operator of the year.
