Board approves amended New Milford solar development agreement with $30,000 phase cost

The New Milford Village Board approved the First Amended and Restated Development Agreement for the New Milford Solar Project on Aug. 13, 2024, after a presentation by Mack Gapinski of Trajectory Energy Partners about phasing and cost changes. Gapinski told trustees the two‑phase approach would increase village costs by $30,000, and Attorney Jim Stevens advised the board to sign the amended agreement.
"[I]t will be an additional $30,000 for the village," Mack Gapinski said during the presentation. The motion to approve the amended agreement passed by voice vote with six ayes and no nays. The approval implements the amended contract language reviewed by the village attorney and authorizes the project to move forward under the revised terms.
The vote follows earlier discussion of the draft agreement in the attorney report; Stevens stated he had reviewed the document and recommended executing the amendment. The board did not record a roll-call tally beyond the announced ayes and nays. No formal amendments to the agreement were made on the floor at the meeting.
