Contractor proposes three-year mowing contract with modest rate increase

Greg Tucker presented the Village of New Milford trustees with a proposed three-year mowing contract and said he has provided mowing services to the village since 2007. "been mowing since 2007 for the village, he is only raising the rates $45 from 3 years ago," the minutes record; Tucker also said the parties could discuss a gas surcharge if fuel costs rise.
Trustees did not take a formal vote on the contract during the Sept. 24 meeting. The proposal leaves park-specific tasks on the quote "until they are completed," according to the contractor's submission. The board discussed whether the contract should be put out to bid; President Timothy H. Owens indicated the item will be scheduled for future action.
