Commissioners share reminders about Navajo Nation voter registration and regional leadership summit

At the end of the meeting, ex officio Commissioner Sheldon Yazzie reminded commissioners that the Navajo Nation has reopened voter registration for the general election and encouraged members to tell friends and family who may need to register.
Yazzie also mentioned the Hopi Coalition to End Abuse and the Southwest Indigenous Women's Coalition leadership summit scheduled Aug. 12–13 at Twin Arrows and encouraged commissioners to attend if available. "The Hopi Coalition to End Abuse and the Southwest Indigenous Women's Coalition is having a leadership summit next week on the 12th and 13th at Twin Arrows," Yazzie said, and added that some IPAC members planned to attend.
