Board accepts two resignations, approves a special-education hire and reappoints budget committee members

Superintendent Mr. Duff reported, "So we've got 2 resignations. Kathy Lanai has been with the district for just a couple years... And then, Stephen Moore at Mac High." The board moved to accept the resignations and the motion carried. Later, S3 recommended hiring a candidate referred to as Crystal for a life-skills special education position; the board moved and approved that hire while noting final campus assignment would be determined.
S3 also recommended reappointing Gage Hendrix, Kate Winters and Verna Rodadero to the budget committee after their prior terms lapsed; the board approved those appointments by voice vote. No non-renewals were recommended during the contract-renewal portion of the meeting.
