Board hears detailed construction progress report for high school and CTE renovation

"The demolition... is about 98% complete," the presenter said, and described that underground plumbing is finished, corridor VCT flooring is being completed, and glass sidelights for large door frames are due to be installed next week. The presenter noted a tile subcontractor delay — the tile worker had promised to start but showed up without materials — and said crews are working to coordinate finishes so areas will be safe and lockable when school begins.
The presenter characterized overall schedule status as roughly "about a week ahead or a week ahead of schedule, not behind, ahead in most areas of the project," and emphasized the need to work around school activities once classes resume. Board members asked clarifying questions about weekend work and coordination with staff and the presenter said the superintendent provided a written summary when he could not attend in person.
